Nash Resorts, Lac Chateau Cavagnac bailiff, Tom Forman, landed this stunning 58lb 2oz mirror along with a 51lb common during a three-night session at the 50 acre French venue, fishing late evenings and nights only.

Twenty year old, Tom, also tempted several other fish up to 40lb 4oz from ' The Trees ' swim, fishing to sets of lilies at approximately 60 yards.

Tom's successful rigs consisted of 3ft of Nash Limpit leadcore, fished in conjunction with a Euro safety bolt bead set up, 12 inches of 25lb Armourbraid hooklink. Size 4 Fang hooks were mounted with 2 x 20mm Scopex Squid Liver boilies 'snowman style', over big beds of particle and matching Scopex pellet.

The rigs were positioned with the use of a boat, which was also used for baiting but all fish were landed from the bank.

Just goes to show that the bailiffs at Lac Cav know what they’re talking about – and they share their expertise with visiting anglers!
