CATCH REPORT - 19/26 June 2009
by Cavagnac Bailiff
Ken and Terry Shrubb from Essex managed to handle the extreme heat and landed an incredible 22 fish during their week stay. Fishing The Steps swim the successful pair managed 4 doubles, 8 twenties, 6 thirties and no less than three fish over the magical 40lb mark. The biggest of the week came in at 44lb 4oz and was a new personal best for Terry. However, he didn't stop there and by the end of the week had a new personal best mirror and common under his belt as well as several other fish.

Not to be outdone, brother Ken managed to smash his personal best no less than 6 times with his biggest of the week being a 40lb 4oz beauty. He also managed an awesome 37lb grass carp on the final night to top off 'an awesome week's angling' .

The fishing was steady, and the pair caught consistently throughout the week. Most of the fish were landed during the night and early morning which made sense due to warm temperatures during the days.

With spawning well out the way it's clear to see the fish have decided to get their heads down and begin feeding again, Terry and Ken are not the only visiting anglers to have proved this over the last few weeks and with the lake and also the fish looking better than ever, it's exciting times at Lac Chateau Cavagnac.
